Numata Sou
"Opened as a branch of the main Numata restaurant in Kitashinchi as a place where the chef’s disciples could flex their gastronomical muscles. ‘Sou’ means ‘twins’, as both locations are tempura eateries. Meals begin at the same time, so artisans can showcase their talents to maximum effect. The amount and thickness of the batter and temperature of the oil all depend on the item; for variety, seafood and vegetable items are served in turns.
