Where to Stay in Oaxaca on Your Trip (Updated 2025)

"About a 15-minute walk to the Zócalo on the northern edge of downtown, I found this to be a super social hostel where staff organize lots of events—happy hours, yoga classes, and group barbecues—making it easy to meet people. Breakfast is included, there’s a roof bar for hanging out, the beds are soft and comfortable with privacy screens, and the bathrooms are kept very clean. It’s one of the best hostels in the city." - Matthew Kepnes
