"Located on a quiet street in bohemian Santa Teresa, I found this homey, artsy hostel — an old mansion turned quirky spot — full of eclectic décor, wall art, a music room with instruments, resident cats, and plenty of indoor and outdoor shared spaces (including hammocks, an indoor TV lounge, and an outdoor sundeck). The bunk beds all have lockers, privacy curtains, individual power outlets, and reading lamps, though some dorms include three-tiered bunks; the friendly staff keep everything nice and clean. It’s social without being a party hostel, but be aware it’s up a steep hill." - Matthew Kepnes
