"Black Heath Meadery, Scotts Addition by The Frontier Project. While Scott’s Addition is home to breweries galore, it’s got one special spot up its sleeve: Black Heath Meadery, the city’s first mead maker. The world’s oldest fermented beverage, mead is made from honey and water. Of course, owner Bill Cavender takes it a step further, experimenting with a number of other ingredients, including apples, grapes, spices, and floral buds. And he does this with an important mission in mind -- to support the region’s local beekeepers and reestablish sustainable beehives. How sweet is that?"
