"Set on Doi Inthanon, this long-running Royal Project hub teaches Karen and Hmong villagers modern techniques while cultivating a remarkable range of produce: hydroponic nurseries raise temperate crops like fennel and celery; flower gardens burst with rhododendrons and gerberas; and highland fisheries rear rainbow trout, sturgeon and crayfish, harvesting their caviar. Its sheep farm supplies wool that Hmong villagers weave into scarves, and staff credit the Projects with restoring forests and water to the mountain, with bounty from Doi Inthanon dispatched to hotels, restaurants and supermarkets in Chiang Mai and beyond." - cooper
