"Built for the 1958 World’s Fair and designed by engineer André Waterkeyn, this futuristic landmark on the Heysel Plateau in Laeken represents an iron crystal magnified 165 billion times and consists of nine interconnected spheres. Six spheres are open to the public and contain exhibitions on the 1950s, Expo 58 and the building’s own history, plus event spaces and a restaurant with panoramic views, making it both an architectural icon and a vantage point over northern Brussels." - James Wong
