"The hilltop village of Gordes is known for its historic bories, or stone shepherds’ huts, a few of which still stand on the grounds of Les Bories & Spa. Some have been carefully restored and incorporated into the luxury hotel’s architecture, others are scattered around the park's lavender fields and olive groves, their facades beautifully illuminated after dark. The mélange of historic heritage and contemporary sophistication — all set amid a spectacular natural landscape — is the hotel’s hallmark. Some rooms are located inside a restored farmhouse, and others are in the main building; all are light-filled and elegant, and many have sliding glass doors opening onto leafy private terraces.
