"First a priory, later a private home, this 16th-century edifice has been in business as a hotel since the middle of the 20th century, and was in some sense a boutique hotel avant la lettre — Le Vieux Logis is a 25-room lodging with as much personality as luxury, still family-owned and operated after all these years. The setting, in the tiny Dordogne village of Trémolat, could hardly be more tranquil; the surroundings reward exploration but the gardens reward idleness.
