"When I lace up my skates and hit the ice, the Victoria Park IceWay feels like a forested escape just south of downtown Edmonton along the North Saskatchewan River: a three-loop trail covering just under 2 miles that winds languidly through the trees and, once darkness falls, is illuminated by rainbow lights so you can glide under a colorful glow until the park closes at 10 p.m. The trail is completely free and open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., though there are no on-site skate rentals (bring your own skates or rent elsewhere). Parking is available at the Victoria Park main lot, the east lot, and at the Victoria Golf Course." - Evie Carrick Evie Carrick Evie Carrick is a writer and editor who’s lived in five countries and visited well over 50.
