"The childhood home of owner Evelyn Ikrath (who, together with her architect husband, also owns the Hotel Miramonte, a short walk away), this 1920s spa hotel has recently undergone a stylish revamp. Despite its slick and elegant interiors (the work of Japanese interior designer Elma Choung), Haus Hirt still manages to feel informal and friendly – children are welcomed. Guests enjoy the library filled with art and design books, and the modest yet sublime Aveda spa.
