It is often overshadowed by Fonthill Castle , Mercer's grand home, which he also designed, just a short walk up the path from the pottery and tile works. It's rarely crowded but provides a fascinating look at the history and craftsmanship of the renowned tiles made here. It's a working museum as well, as master tile makers still handcraft these works of art for sale.
