"What were your first impressions?Deep in the heart of Fort Worth, this Omni property is cowboy cool, but not in a cheesy way. What were your fellow travelers like?During the week, you'll find a lot of convention attendees (the convention center is close by); come 5 p.m. on Friday, suddenly, the wedding parties descend. The good stuff: Tell us about your room. The luxury king bed suite clocks in at a generous 1,200 square feet. Its living room has a sofa bed, and a large wraparound porch is perfect for enjoying an evening glass of wine over views of Fort Worth's Cultural District. How about the food on offer: Worth it?Bob's Steak & Chop House is a Dallas favorite, and now it's a Fort Worth favorite, too. You can't go astray with the massive, 22-ounce "côte de boeuf"—a prime bone-in ribeye with a loaded baked potato and, perhaps most intimidatingly, the shockingly large glazed carrot that comes with your meal. Anything else you have to be sure to check out during a stay? The rooftop pool is the place to be to beat the intense Texas heat. It opens at 6 a.m., so we recommend you make an early start, grab a book, and head out to the tanning deck for your daily dose of Vitamin D before heading out to explore for the day. Or, if you're more in the mood for some rest and relaxation, book a treatment at the Mokara Spa, which offers everything from a cowboy-and-cowgirl couple's massage to an age-corrective facial. Bottom line: was worth it, and why? This is one of very few luxury options in Fort Worth. It might not wow you, but it will probably leave you satisfied with your stay." - Diana Oates
