"What's the story?Mama’s Fish House is a legendary restaurant along the Hana Highway on Maui’s North Shore. Famed for not just for fresh fish and tropical cocktails but for its lookout over Ho’okipa Beach, a popular spot for surfers and windsurfers. Piggybacking off the success of Mama’s Fish House restaurant, the owners expanded to include accommodations in order to give visitors the option of extending their experience past dinner. The inn has 12 cottages and suites, and—fun fact—the owners live next door. To get to the inn, head down a small street behind the restaurant, where a cottage with stained-glass windows serves as a lobby and reception area. What are the rooms like?The inn’s adorable suites and cottages are light and happy, and filled with a mix of Polynesian and modern decor. Is there a charge for WiFi?Wi-Fi is free. But you'll also see a mix of folks who’ve been to Maui a few times and want a break from the resort scene.
