"The chain was hit by an online conspiracy claiming it constructs whole pies by Frankensteining uneaten slices together after a Shane Dawson video showed two pizzas with mismatched edges—one appearing half pepperoni and half plain—and suggested slices were reused and reheated rather than baked as a single pie. Company spokespeople called the allegation “unequivocally false,” saying pizzas are made to order with fresh dough and that imperfect shapes come from hand-formed dough and busy kitchen conditions. Observers note plenty of visual evidence of oddly shaped pies but also many perfectly round examples; long-running online threads and former employees largely refute the recycling claim while admitting other back-of-house problems.
