"Don the Beachcomber is among the more well-known names in the greater tiki universe, owing to an eclectic founder and a collection of outlets dating back decades. The Huntington Beach location that is closing wasn’t a part of that original chain, but rather a place that had purchased their way into the naming rights and successfully traded against the bygone brand for a decade. Not that casual fans minded much; this was still a busy weekend place for rum drinks and live music within sight of the water.
