"Founded four years ago out of the Lous' home kitchen, JL Jerkys boomed during the pandemic and launched its first storefront earlier this year in the same mall. Their jerky is made by hand in small batches in flavors like lemongrass, mango-habanero, Thai chili, and lemon-pepper, and the couple also imports Laotian products ranging from clothing and kitchen items to specialty ingredients such as jeow (a Lao chili paste) and som moo (a fermented sour sausage)." - Candice Woo
