"A bonafide Eugene institution, Poppi’s Anatolia may not have the buzz of some of its new-wave local competition but it has the heart and the food to match. Perhaps it’s the fact that this Mediterranean-Indian-ish spot was established in 1977, but the vibe here feels fully contemporary with warm wood tones and plenty of plants cascading around the windows. This is the spot for a Greek salad or a lemony, sizzling pile plate of saganaki and brown bread, though you can also find some surprises on the Indian section of the menu such as the spicy, cumin-laden Bombay aloo (always accompanied by a delightfully varied dish of chutneys). To drink there’s a full list of Greek and Cypriot sippers like metaxa and raki as well as Greek wines and refreshing hibiscus-mint tea." - Brenna Houck, Eater Staff
