Houston-Area Restaurant Manager Dies After Contracting COVID-19 | Eater Houston

"David Oglesby, a 60-year-old manager at the Katy location, died on February 19 after a lengthy hospitalization for pneumonia that developed following a positive COVID-19 test. Colleagues and his employer at Gr8 Plate Hospitality remembered him as a valued employee and close friend who was “always” smiling, and said he will be greatly missed. His wife Denise described him on the GoFundMe page as a “fighter,” “courageous,” “faithful,” “loving,” and “strong.” Staffers have launched a GoFundMe to support his family; at press time it had raised $2,650 of a $25,000 goal. He was the husband of Denise Oglesby and the father of two children." - Amy McCarthy
