Medford Brewing Company Fundraises for Brewery and Taproom | Eater Boston

"Founded in 2015 by Nick Bolitho and Max Heinegg after turning a homebrewing hobby into a business, Medford Brewing Company spent about two years contract brewing at Down the Road Beer Company in Everett and is now running a Wefunder campaign to establish Medford’s first brewery and taproom in its namesake city. The co-founders combined their business and beer knowledge to pursue either a larger facility in West Medford or a smaller build-out in Medford Square depending on fundraising, which would cut production costs and create a visitor taproom serving their American pale ale, IPA, double IPA, and American golden ale; they hoped to complete the project by the start of 2020. The campaign launched on February 28, and while raising money they brewed Bub’s IPA to benefit the Glen Doherty Memorial Foundation. Historically distribution was small and concentrated around Medford, but after signing with Atlantic Beverage Distributors a few months earlier their reach expanded to more than 150 locations." - Dana Hatic
