"A long-running Raleigh hot-dog stand operating since 1940, family-owned since the 1920s and known for its hot-weiner chili dogs. Facing building repairs (plumbing and electrical), the owner launched a GoFundMe campaign seeking $17,500 to preserve the historic spot and keep it operating as a piece of “Old Raleigh.” As of the latest update more than $9,600 had been donated, and patrons and locals have rallied to help maintain the city’s oldest original family-owned business." - Parker Milner
