"Located just a block from 608, Mission Avenue Bar and Grill is a three-and-a-half-year-old restaurant whose owner, Cameron Braselton, called Eick’s culinary talent "a gift to Oceanside" and invited him to join as executive chef starting in early March. Braselton will have Eick refine the menu and provide additional training to staff; Eick will also work with bar manager Guy Marino to elevate the cocktail program. He plans to keep some favorites from Mission Avenue’s current menu while incorporating several of 608’s signature dishes — including the in-house dry-aged beef burger, the panang short rib, and a version of his fried chicken adapted to wings — and to continue sourcing from local farms and purveyors." - Candice Woo
