Off SC-642 is My Three Sons, a family-owned Southern restaurant that pivoted during the pandemic, relocating to a former fast food space complete with a drive-thru, to continue the family legacy. Now, one of owner Lorraine Smalls (a.k.a. Moma) sons’, Antwan Smalls, helps run the North Charleston business. Locals visit for okra soup and dinner plates loaded with Southern food specialties such as oxtails with rice, barbecue ribs, fried chicken, stuffed pork chops, and pig feet. The extensive menu includes South Carolina specialties like Gullah rice, catfish sandwiches, and the signature “Barack Obama” beverage: a mix of iced tea and lemonade that’s sold by the cup or gallon." - Vox Creative
