"Debuting today in La Mesa, the fourth Surf Rider Pizza Co. location is a departure from the brand’s beachside roots in Ocean Beach, Crown Point, and Mission Beach and is the largest yet at 4,158 square feet. Founded by Hilary Rossi, The Patio Group’s Senior VP of Food and Beverage, the East Coast-style pizzeria anchors its menu on thin, crisp-crusted brick oven pizza sold by the slice or as 18-inch whole pies, alongside East Coast classics like stromboli, cheesesteaks, and Italian sausage sandwiches. The La Mesa eatery will have its own in-house bakery producing lemon bars, carrot cake cookies, many flavors of cheesecake, other pastries, and full-sized cakes.
