Zao Jun, a New ‘Pan-Asian’ Restaurant From Adachi Chef, Opens on May 6 | Eater Detroit

"Opening Monday, May 6, a 184-seat pan-Asian restaurant from the team behind Adachi in Birmingham will debut at 6608 Telegraph Rd. in Bloomfield. Zao Jun, named for the Chinese Kitchen God and helmed by executive chef Lloyd Roberts (who previously worked at international Nobu restaurants) and general manager David Kraus, features a menu that touches on Japanese, Thai, Chinese, Korean, and Indonesian cuisines — expect family-style Mandarin bang chicken as well as maki rolls, Thai mango salad, and tom gai soup. The restaurant will include a full bar and patio seating. The project was originally a collaboration between local developers Kenny Koza and Clint Mansour and East Coast chef Michael Schlow, although Schlow abruptly severed his partnership earlier this month." - Brenna Houck
