"In other chicken news, an outpost of the fried chicken chain is slated to open at the Minetta San Jose airport, despite its reputation for donating to anti-LGBTQ causes. The council says that it is encouraging the franchise to hire members of the LGBTQ community. Santa Clara County supervisor Ken Yeager has recommended that the city display rainbow and transgender pride flags next to the restaurant as a way to counter the bigotry of Chick-fil-A and to let people know that even though there’s that restaurant there, the city is showing its support for the LGBTQ community." - Ellen Fort
