"Transformed from a winter drive-in into a summer-long outdoor recreation area at 32 Monroe Street, this downtown midway opens May 28 and features roller skating (operated by a long-running local family business), basketball and handball courts, public art installations, DJ performances, and outdoor fitness classes. It will host a daily rotating roster of food trucks alongside a separate concession stand offering salads, subs, pizza, crudité with hummus, and beverages; the rotation begins with a barbecue vendor serving Texas beef brisket sandwiches, smoked pulled pork, baby back ribs, and tacos over Memorial Day weekend.
