Classic Westlake Coffee Shop Reopens in New Location | Eater Austin

"After a contentious departure from its longtime spot in the West Woods Shopping Center, this Westlake coffee shop relocated to a much larger, 1,837-square-foot space at 3654 Bee Cave Road, opening on Friday, November 9. First established in 1985, it had closed last year when its previous lease was not renewed and the old space was taken over by local chain Summer Moon Coffee Bar; work on the new site began in October 2017. The cafe continues to offer its full selection of coffee drinks, tea, juice and specialty coffees (single-origin, microlot and organic), along with snacks sourced from local purveyors—bagels from Wholy Bagel, pastries from Quack’s Bakery, sandwiches and wraps from The Green Cart and Tacodeli breakfast tacos (an update clarifies Tacodeli tacos will not be available all day). A planned kitchen buildout aims to allow breakfast to be served all day, and the former fitness-center layout provides extra room for additional conference/meeting rooms. Current hours are Monday–Friday 6:30 a.m.–7 p.m., Saturday 7 a.m.–6 p.m., and Sunday 8 a.m.–5 p.m." - Erin Russell
