"Run, don’t walk, to Northbrook, a suburb full of great Korean restaurants along Milwaukee Avenue. The best might be New Village Gastro Pub, a palace to Korean baseball, karaoke, and marvelous food. The signature fried chicken can feed a big group, the rose tteokbokki is a feast with perfectly chewy noodles with an excellent sear. The seafood pancake is made better when accompanied by a beer poured out of a tableside beer tower or a glass of soju. The cooking at this pub is tremendous and worth the commute." - Ashok Selvam
