"Set to open next month in Little Italy, the brunch-focused Morning Glory will occupy a 4,000-square-foot perch on the second story of a building overlooking India Street and Piazza della Famiglia and is being positioned to challenge downstairs neighbor Farmer’s Table. Culinary director Jason McLeod and beverage director Anthony Schmidt will run food and drink, while Paul Basile of Basile Studio has designed an interior that mixes 1970s and 1980s styles, Southwestern colors, and nods to Frank Lloyd Wright, including an overhead sunburst installation, an oversized living plant wall, and stained-glass windows; an articulating animated window system wrapped around the outside will move throughout the day according to the weather. The concept will also borrow elements from other CH Projects properties—a coffee and pastry bar similar to Ironside’s and the custom bar carts from Born & Raised—and will accept reservations as well as walk-ins to help mitigate brunch lines." - Candice Woo
