"I'm reporting that the wildly successful New York City burger joint helmed by hospitality mogul Danny Meyer is officially taking over DFW with a new outpost at 5500 Greenville Avenue, Unit 505 inside the Old Town Dallas development; the restaurant will occupy 2,929 square feet and includes a patio and a mural painted by Japanese-born, NYC-based artist Mr. Kiji. Like other Shake Shack locations, this Greenville Avenue spot will serve Shack Burgers, crinkle-cut fries that can be doused with cheese or showered with crumbled bacon, and ice cream concretes made with slices of locally-baked pie; this will be the seventh Shake Shack in the greater DFW area, joining the first local outpost at the Crescent in Uptown Dallas and a recently opened restaurant at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. No official opening timeline has been set, though the location is expected to land sometime in mid-2019, and there's no word yet on whether the chain’s recently announced “Shack Bites” chicken nuggets will be available when it opens." - Amy McCarthy
