"Just shy of a year old and located at 3304 Green Acres Rd Unit B in Metairie near Zuppardo’s, Nectar + Ice is a family-run dessert and sno-ball shop founded by Shyanna Batres with a mission to serve vegans, halal diners, and people with allergies; she makes all sno-ball bases in-house and offers vegan condensed milk as a topping. The menu includes about 50 sno-ball flavors—chocolate cream, Creole cream cheese, Tiger’s Blood, passionfruit, Tutti-Frutti, kiwi, and more—plus signature items like a white chocolate pecan sno-ball (white chocolate macadamia stuffed with cheesecake and topped with sesame pecans), mochi-stuffed sno-balls, horchata soft serve, and dessert coffees such as the Royal Rose (iced coffee made with rose syrup and white chocolate, topped with Halawa nuts and espresso).
