"Stepping off Hayes Valley's main drag, I found Il Borgo's quaint neighborhood charm — a thriving Italian spot that still proudly flies red-and-white checkered tablecloths and isn't afraid of garlic. The bruschetta was crunchy and luscious, the penne arrabiata snappy, and an excellent lobster ravioli in aurora sauce stood out; the beef in the fettuccine al Bolognese was a bit disappointing, but you can't go wrong with the tiramisu." - Andrew Dalton
