"Founded in 2015 by Brenda Smola‑Foti, this rehabbed horse farm in Carlton was created to raise truly sustainable beef cattle, pastured pigs and other livestock using permaculture and regenerative‑agriculture principles; I found that the farm was built not only for production but to invite people in, offering tours, a swanky onsite Airbnb and a farmstand selling eggs, meat and other products, and it serves as the agricultural foundation for Humble Spirit." - Emily Teel
