"I visited Hattie B’s first Williamson County outpost in the Factory (230 Franklin Road), a 3,058-square-foot spot with a private patio and a 77-seat dining room; the menu sticks to the chain’s staples—hot chicken with varying heat levels, pimento cheese mac-and-cheese, and banana pudding—but the interior has its own personality with waffle-and-hot-chicken wallpaper, a mix of red and white tables, and windows original to the Factory’s historic space. I also noticed local craft beers and frozen rum-, vodka-, and whiskey-based cocktails on offer, plus batch cocktails like Shack Water (Hattie B’s take on Ranch Water made with gin, grapefruit, and Topo Chico), a hot chicken-and-dill pickle–infused Bloody Mary, and a classic Island Painkiller." - Jackie Gutierrez-Jones
