"I've regarded Brooks Wine as a stalwart of the Willamette Valley wine scene since it opened in 1998; for nearly 25 years the Amity winery has drawn Portlanders to taste flights with stunning views. During the pandemic Brooks collaborated with Woodblock Chocolate on online wine-and-chocolate pairing classes and featured Woodblock in its monthly “Beyond Brooks” series, and while the new Portland space won't be a satellite, Brooks will use the collaboration to discuss the parallels of wine and chocolate making and to offer flights and focused tastings—especially single-vineyard pinot noir and riesling—alongside Woodblock confections." - Alex Frane
