"One of the many great things about fried chicken in the Queen City is that its varieties can run the gamut from soul food to Seoul food. And in South End, Charlotte’s late-night party central, Seoul Food Meat Company on Church Street takes American soul food and barbecue traditions and injects them with South Korean twists and turns. Want cornbread? Try the green tea cornbread. Hot sauce? How about some gochujang instead? But the chicken pièce de résistance, as it were, are the fried wings and drumsticks, which run the gamut from revelatory (covered in soy garlic sauce) to retaliatory (as “no refund spicy”)." - Timothy DePeugh
