"When I walked into Urban Roots Brewing on a busy Friday night, Rob Archie — who co-owns the brewery with head brewer Peter Hoey — was standing in line to order a beer like any other customer, chatting and listening attentively to neighbors, staff, and friends; that neighborly mindset is baked into how the brewery operates. Opened in 2018, the taproom is a chance for Archie and Hoey to explore a broad range of beer styles and to make something for everyone, and several offerings nod directly to Archie’s personal history: Taste of Home is a barrel-aged peach sour made with Wild Beer that references mornings in Reedley surrounded by ripe peaches, and the black lager Nothing Is Certain is a lighter, dark beer with chocolate notes that Archie likens to an Americano and that also references Moonlight Brewing’s Death & Taxes." - Lou Bustamante
