"On the corner of 10th and V streets, business partners Phuong Tran and Seoyeon Oh run a narrow counter-style spot serving dishes inspired by Vietnamese and Korean home cooking: they push steaming bowls of chicken pho across the counter and roll seaweed around seasoned rice, carrots, pickled radishes, perilla, egg, and fish cake for kimbap. Housed in the space that once held the storied June’s Cafe, the menu also features dosiraki (Korean-style lunch boxes) packed with spicy pork bulgogi, rice, noodles, and a quail egg, hearty galbi-tang short-rib soup, and Vietnamese xíu mái meatballs in a sweet-spicy tomato sauce — a deliberate, small-scale approach to feeding about 50 customers a day and bringing Asian, female ownership back to the neighborhood." - Lauren Saria
