"A sprawling, family-owned farm that’s been in operation for two centuries, this vineyard offers a fresh-air escape with rentable treehouses by the hour or overnight, plus daily wine tastings and tours. The property cultivates six varieties of muscadine grapes across eight acres and supplements offerings with juice from the Yadkin Valley to broaden its lineup; tastings are $8 for a flight of dry and sweet wines. Staff favorites include Liquid Sunshine, a light, crisp dry sauvignon blanc blend; Sunset Hills, the top seller described as sangria-esque and seasonally versatile; and the WinoRita, a made-to-order wine slushy. Snack options are limited but include gourmet Boar’s Head selections and pimento cheeses with dips and crackers; visitors are also welcome to picnic or catch food trucks that often appear on Fridays and Saturdays." - Katie Toussaint
