"Opening tonight in North Las Vegas, the new Nevada expansion of Texas Roadhouse is a 7,518-square-foot, built-from-scratch restaurant at Craig Road and Bruce Street that brings the chain's signature all-you-can-eat peanuts and yeast bread with cinnamon butter to the area and features Vegas-themed decor including a mural. The family-style restaurant — part of a chain operating more than 450 national locations — includes its own butcher (the chain typically sells about $1 million in steaks monthly), seating for 273 with tables and booths and a central U-shaped bar, and flies both an American and Texas state flag outside. The large menu emphasizes "Texas-sized" burgers, sandwiches, steaks, and ribs, with select locations offering 10-, 12-, and 16-ounce prime ribs; the notorious Road Kill is a 10-ounce chop steak smothered in mushrooms, onions, and jack cheese. Located near the Cannery Casino & Hotel and joining a growing Craig Road restaurant row with Blaze Pizza, Cafe Rio, Jersey Mike’s and the recently opened Habit Burger, Texas Roadhouse is at 1380 E. Craig Road and is open daily from 4 to 10 p.m." - Susan Stapleton
