"I discovered a new hidden watering hole that promises a haircut and a drink: Blind Barber, the hip New York City import with locations in Chicago and LA, has set up shop inside the newly renovated Nautilus by Arlo (1825 Collins Avenue). By day it operates as a barbershop offering haircuts, shaves, and beard trims with a complimentary beer or cocktail included with every service; by night a discreet rear door leads to Blind Barber’s backroom cocktail lounge, styled with old Miami glamour—green and pink velvet seating, terrazzo tables, copper walls, and a large projection wall for movies or sports. The cocktail menu ranges from the more traditional Arlo Margarita (mezcal, grapefruit, rosemary, habanero, and lime) to the untraditional Chai Mai Tai (aged rum, guava, chai, walnut, and orange liqueur), and the bar will be serving its popular grilled cheese menu with six varieties alongside options like avocado dip, tomato soup, and ceviche.
