The Longboard Restaurant Brings Tropical Flavors to Sullivan’s Island | Eater Carolinas

"Opening at 3 p.m. after a two-year wait to transform the former 450 Pizza Joint, this island-inspired restaurant offers a Caribbean-leaning menu from executive chef Will Fincher (formerly of the Obstinate Daughter), featuring croquettes with green curry, a mango and cucumber salad, drunken prawns, and a whole roasted fish with mole rojo. It debuts with a happy hour and an oyster menu until 5 p.m., then dinner service, initially with a limited food menu alongside a full bar; service runs Wednesday through Sunday from 3–10 p.m. (closed Monday and Tuesday). The tropical-themed dining room—reinvented by Cortney Bishop Design and Beau Clowney Architects—features intricate tile floors, palm-frond banquette fabrics, bleached shiplap walls, and a 9'6" turquoise Almond longboard suspended above the U-shaped bar." - Erin Perkins
