"Strike + Reel, named after its starring bowling and cinema attractions, opened on Thursday, December 19 (5902 N. President George Bush Highway). All-day hours are Sunday to Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 12 a.m., and until 2 a.m. on weekends (and opening 9 a.m. on Saturday). The 90,000-square-foot North Texas newcomer houses 24 bowling lanes and eight dine-in movie auditoriums outfitted with heated recliners under one roof. Along with shareables, pizza, handhelds, main plates, salads, desserts, and a kid’s menu, adults can choose from cocktails like a Mezcal Manhattan and martini, along with 24 draft beers, 12 tapped wines, and boozy shakes. Guests can eat and drink lane-side, in a movie theater recliner, or at Strike + Reel’s restaurant. Highlights include “Epic Cheese Fries” loaded with tater tots, pepper jack, applewood-smoked bacon, chopped brisket, chorizo, fried jalapeños, queso, jalapeño ranch, pico de gallo and scallions; Buffalo Chicken pizza; a Cuban panini; and a diet-busting dessert dubbed the The Titanic, built with massive scoops of ice cream, bananas, berry compote, chocolate and strawberry syrup, whipped cream, and brownies." - Tierney Plumb
