"Opened this month as a second location in Redondo’s Riviera Village, this cozy, roughly 800-square-foot coffeehouse (modeled on the owners’ Hermosa Beach spot) features a full kitchen and an expanded all-day menu with breakfast, savory bowls, salads, soup, toast and signature waffle dishes—Brock Landers and Chest Rockwell—named as nods to the film Boogie Nights. The menu will rotate seasonally and also offers tea and kombucha. Local owners Jeff and Karen Prugh chose the walkable, three-block-from-the-Pacific site for its proximity to the ocean and nearby shops, converting a former beauty salon over a year of planning, and they elevated the food program by hiring culinary director Brad Mathews, whose resume includes Manhattan Beach’s Fishing With Dynamite and The Arthur J. The café is open Monday–Friday 6:30 a.m.–4 p.m. and weekends 7 a.m.–4 p.m." - Mona Holmes
