"To celebrate its arrival in Bethesda, I found that local restaurateurs Alonso and Alvaro Roche are opening Frida Beer Garden and offering $2 off all draft beers produced by Maryland breweries from Friday, March 16 through Sunday, March 18. Frida is taking up residence alongside its sibling and recent addition, Tacoarepa, and is projected to serve the same nachos, tacos, arepas, and quesadillas offered next door. Featured pours on opening weekend include Rar Brewing’s Country Ride pale ale and Nanticoke Nectar IPA; Manor Hill Brewing’s Citra Stupor imperial IPA, Crooked Beak IPA, and Pilsner; Oliver Brewing Company’s 206 IPA and Speed of Darkness Russian imperial stout; Diamondback Brewing Company’s Green Machine IPA; and a lager from Waredaca Brewing Company. In addition to the discounted brews, management plans to donate half of all sales through Saturday, March 31 to the international relief effort Accion Humanitaria por Venezuela. The beer garden has built-in games (Nerf basketball, cornhole, dominoes), will share 100 outdoor seats with Tacoarepa, and was projected to operate from 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on March 16, from 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on March 17, and from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on March 18; status was scheduled to open at 4 p.m. on March 16." - Warren Rojas
