"The Vic, as it is fondly known by locals, has been a staple since its opening in 1983. Nestled in an old cottage on the Westside, the restaurant changed in 1996 to include two versions of eggs Benedict when a young chef named John Nolan joined the kitchen. Nolan now owns the Vic and through the years he’s expanded the menu to include 10 different Benedicts, plus three weekly specials. Patrons can savor offerings ranging from the classic ham Benedict to the Southwestern variation, featuring andouille sausage and chipotle hollandaise. Vegetarian options include the hearty huevos rancheros, while the huevos Mazatlan features tender beef chili and fresh salsa, served with an accompanying applesauce.
