"I stopped at Na Na Thai in Buellton, run by husband-and-wife Nik and Ashley Ramirez, and was charmed by the red-painted walls and mid-century sconces; the restaurant’s name nods to the street they lived on during a period abroad in Thailand and to Bangkok’s Nana Plaza. The menu brims with the zippy tang of Thai flavors—often a mix of sour, sweet, salty, and nutty—and best bets include gai tod (fried Jidori chicken served with a vinegary nam jim jaew), pla tod (a fried whole seabass served with fried garlic and sauces) for a group, the lip-puckering som tum pocked with dried shrimp, and a classic pad thai topped with massive grilled shrimp. It’s a great first stop on a Central Coast road trip, and the restaurant also offers local wine selections to toast the weekend." - Eater Staff
