"Owner and winemaker Brianne Day is a legend in the somewhat-amorphous natural wine world, appearing on the Wine Enthusiast 40 under 40 and earning a semi-finalist nod from the James Beard Awards. The wines here are daring, inventive, and range from pinot to rarely-seen varietals from the Willamette Valley as well as southern Oregon’s Applegate Valley. The five-wine tasting rotates about once a month and might involve anything from pinot from famed vineyards like Johan or Momtazi, white and oranges like salty-but-tropical vermentino or eye-catching orange zibibbo, or a peachy pét-nat. Open for walk-ins and reservations, visitors can sip on the breezy tasting room patio just off the highway near “urban” Dundee, with guidance from the winery’s casual, even nerdy staff. It’s open Wednesday through Monday for tastings from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with Mondays being reservation only." - Katherine Chew Hamilton
