"Standing at the original walk-up stand in Glendora on a mid-morning Saturday, I joined the small crowd peering through the glass at rows of doughnuts and went straight for the strawberry-stuffed doughnuts: whole berries suspended in a jelly-like filling piled between a glazed doughnut cut in half, creating something that feels at home at a state fair.
