"Near the junction of highways 440 and 125, Piatti Pizzeria is a smaller, more casual yet still trendy offshoot of the ten-year-old North Shore original Piatti; I describe it as serving Neapolitan-style pizzas cooked in a wood-fired oven imported from Italy — a prime option is the porchetta pizza with cocciocavallo cheese and confit onions. While it will have more pizza than the original, the menu also features classic-leaning pastas like ravioli with braised beef oxtail and burrata, charcuteries and cheese, and meatier, shareable dishes such as the Bistecca alla Fiorentina, a 45-ounce Porterhouse. Designed by the Gauley Brothers, the muted modern interior has splashes of colour (notably green bar stools), plenty of booth and banquette seating, and room for 96 guests. It's open at 2829 Avenue des Aristocrates with hours of 5–10 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday; 11:30 a.m.–3 p.m. and 5–10 p.m. Thursday and Friday; 5–11 p.m. Saturday; and 5–9:30 p.m. Sunday." - Tim Forster
